A GaAs MMIC amplifier in die form provides high gain with low noise figure from 10 to 17 GHz.
Model CMD167 is a gallium-arsenside (GaAs) monolithic-microwave-integrated-circuit (MMIC) amplifier with usable frequency range of 10 to 17 GHz. It achieves better than 15-dB gain at 14 GHz, with +11-dBm output 1-dB compression point and 1.8-dB noise figure. The MMIC device, which is supplied as a bare die, is matched to 50 Ω for ease of installation in communications and electronic-warfare (EW) circuits and systems. It operates from a single positive supply voltage of +3 VDC with 55 mA typical current consumption. The model CMD167P3 is a packaged version of the amplifier, supplied in a 3 × 3 mm plastic surface-mount-technology (SMT) package.
