Packed into a portable “beer-can”-shaped housing the model MTS-3060 SmartCan flightline tester simulates the major electronic functions, including audio and video, of bombs, rockets, and missiles, including the latest “smart” weapons systems. The tester can evaluate alternate mission equipment (AME), including pylons, launchers, bomb racks, and pods. It provides stimulus and analysis functions with multiple measurement channels, dedicated and continuous squib circuit monitoring, multiple load channels, audio and video simulation, and support for testing MIL-STD-1760 smart weapons systems. It includes high-voltage AC and DC voltage testing channels and can analyze levels to 400 V. The SmartCan features an innovative power management system to operate for 24 hours or more on standard AA batteries.
